Introduction

Croft House provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Church Stretton, Shropshire. The property is an Edwardian House.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• Off street parking is available for guests to use on our private tarmac drive
• On street parking on the crescent with street lights
• Assistance from your car to the entrance if required
• There is one step up of the pavement on to the path to the front door, then another two steps to the front door. Unfortunately it is not possible to have ramps over these steps. The height of the steps to the house is (200mm high)  
• An outside light is used during the evening

Main Entrance, Reception

• The main entrance is on the front of the property leading off the road
• The step to the front door is  350mm in depth
• The main entrance hall and front porch has a period tiled floor
• Lighting in the hallway is electric, which consists of a large chandelier and a table lamp which is connected to a automatic timer
• We are a small Bed and Breakfast and therefore it is not manned 24 hours, however a contact number is available 24 hrs a day should guests have any problems

Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc

• The reception, guest lounge and dining room are all on the same ground level. The guest lounge and dining room have fitted carpets and a large rug in the centre of the room
• The only access to the guest bedrooms is via a wide staircase ( 1 metre    in width,    180mm riser and 260mm   tread) which is carpeted and has a banister on the one side. Assistance can be given if required
• Lighting in the lounge and dining room is provided by ceiling lights, wall lights and lamps, again the lamps are fitted with timers. Natural light is provided by large bay windows

Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc

• The lounge is situated on the ground floor opposite the dining room

Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas

• Unfortunately Croft House is not suitable for wheel chair users as we do not have a ground floor bedroom. However many guests who use walking sticks have easily managed the stairs to the first floor bedrooms
• In the event of an emergency guests are made aware of doors leading out of the property and where fire extinguishers are located
• Smoke detectors are fitted on all floors
• We have flat screen TVs all with remote controls
• Croft House has still many of its original features such as doors, fire places, flooring and windows. The 3 bedrooms are all carpeted and have tiles in the ensuites. Lighting is via a main ceiling light and each room has bedside lights to each side of the bed
• We have 3 king size beds and 1 single bed. All bedrooms are on the first floor and the rooms are off the landing which is lit by a main ceiling light and a table light fitted with a timer
• Each bedroom has a different colour scheme
• The Hazler Room has  cream and pink walls, deep pink curtains and blinds. The bed covers are pink and cream with a selection of cushions. The floor is carpeted
• The Longmynd Room has a gold and duck egg blue colour theme and wall paper, with a fitted carpet
• The Burway Room has a red and gold colour scheme fitted with a carpet floor
• Each room has ample room to move around
• In all the bedrooms are a TV, radio alarm clock, hair dryer and kettle and central heated radiators
• Each bedroom is non-smoking and pets are not allowed

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]

• The Hazler Room has a large ensuite which has a separate shower cubicle ( 950mm width x 750mm depth  ) with a small step into the tray. Glass fronted door opening outwards. A toilet, bidet, hand wash basin and double Jacuzzi bath. The walls are fully tiled with grey, white and pewter tiles with white towels on a heated towel rails
• The Longmynd/Burway room have an ensuite with a roll top bath and a corner shower (900mm x 900mm) with sliding doors a hand wash basin and a toilet. Both are fitted with heated towel rails. The ensuites are completely tiled in cream and beige tiles on the walls and floor. Contrasting towels of cream and beige

• Each room has a information pack with various useful details for guests to use
• Croft House has a strict no smoking policy
• No pets are allowed
• No take away food to be eaten in the bedrooms
